5They say Chocolate is HEALTHY, right???Jul 25, 2011

I have only tried this one flavor from Anysetiers du Roy, and I am NOT disappointed. This chocolate fondue is a snap to make; simply microwave for 2 minutes (I stirred after 1 minute) and serve with a plate of tidbits. It is gloriously decadent.

The crock keeps the chocolate warm for up to 45 minutes, and it can be reheated in the microwave if necessary (it wasn't necessary for me). It's nice because I have had chocolate fondue before, with a little tea light candle that totally boils and burns the chocolate in the cup, ruining the experience. With this crock, there's no need to have a tea light below it. The chocolate stays warm and smooth.

For dipping, I used poundcake, pretzels, strawberries (always the favorite), bananas, and dried apricots. Of course, frozen bits of cheesecake, graham crackers, shortbread, piroulines, or marshmallows would be great too. It was just two of us, so there's still about 1/2 of the chocolate fondue left for another decadent indulgence.

This was so much fun and without virtually any preparation. I'll definitely plan to do it again. I am saving the crock to heat fleur de sel caramel, so that I can serve 2 flavors of fondue simultaneously. Yes, it's easy to make your own chocolate fondue, but this is even easier. It would make a great addition to a gift basket.

Fondue is social, intimate, relaxed, and fun. It naturally sets the scene for laughter and lively conversation. Your guests choose exactly what they want to dip, which is perfect for everyone to be happy. And hellooooo! Who doesn't like chocolate???

It's a little pricey, but well worth it!

This fondue from France is sooooo good! I have tried all the flavors and they are all good! The best fondue ever, and so easy. Just put the crock in the microwave for 2 minutes and voila!
