 Not safe, watch out for burns!Apr 13, 2011

I was very excited about getting these little things for handling lids, with hot handles... The problem with these holders: they are not flexible, quite small (one side is larger than the other) and it is very easy to touch a very hot surface with your fingers or palms, using these... Even when handling a small rack from a toaster oven, I have to be very careful, because only some of my fingers (gripping ones) are protected, the rest of the hand/pinky/palm is exposed. Watch out for burns! I would not buy them again

These pot holders are great for baking cookies because you don't need the bulky awkward pot holder to get the job done. Be aware these do not work so well if you are taking anything heavy out of oven.

Like these a lot! I would like to see them a little bigger, but they work great for taking cookies, etc. out of the oven.

Though they work well, these holders are smaller than I had expected. My four fingertips barely fit across the larger side. For a small hand, you can fit all your fingers on it, but beware of steam escaping past the holders' edges. I wound up buying a second pair of silicone holders about four inches in length. Though they are not as precise as these, I feel more comfortable with larger ones when pulling items from the oven.

Great for taking things out of the microwave, which is what I bought it for as the dog chewed the last one. Can't believe she got a small bite out of this set as well. Not recommended for taking things out of the oven.
