unbeatable valueFeb 22, 2011
By lissonifan This wee salt pig is exactly the right size for a small table. If you're having a large group (more than four or five people, say), invest in two of them (they're very cheap). It's a no-nonsense piece of tabletop hardware; it does its job, and it looks equally nice on contemporary and traditional tables. I don't use it as a kitchen tool; given its size, I can't imagine that it would be particularly effective for using while cooking (you'd need to refill it frequently). But since it holds about two tablespoons of salt, it's ideal for dinnertime.

Cute, but teeeeny!Jan 12, 2012
By M I bought this thinking it would be great for cooking. It is adorable and holds salt nicely, but is too small for using while cooking, particularly if you want to pinch salt with your fingers. The spoon is really the best way to get salt out. I'll be buying a bigger salt cellar/salt pig.
