more shabby than chicNov 07, 2011
By moi I bought this even though I couldn't find a close-up image of it. mistake. I bought this for entertaining. I thought I could put cupcakes on it or cookies. The item arrived in a box. It is a shabby-chic type thing. the paint peeled all over my table as I assembled it. then I noticed the sticker on the top-most tray: "not for food use. food consumed from this item may be harmful." thank you very much for selling a cake tray that can't be used for cake! and the second one that I ordered came without the central post that holds the thing up. since I live in another country and had it brought here, how am I going to assemble the thing? and I can't return it. this item is overpriced, flimsy and potentially harmful. great. if you like the shabby chic look and don't plan on putting food on it, go for it. it is a pretty design. I don't think it is very durable either, the trim around the tiers can bend easily. I would avoid it, folks. just buy something else.

By Naz Perfect for a Tea Party! My only disappointment was that youre not suppose to put food directly on it (cupcake stand) But I used doilies or you could use wax paper and its fine. Definetly want to brush off paint flakes after assembly - but its part of the look - Its totally shabby chic and definately worth $40 bucks! The bottom tray is dinner plate size at least and the second one is bigger than a dessert plate - so its decent size. Would actually be really big to use as a jewelry tray in my opinion.
