This is what's commonly known as a no-brainer! This tuna is so much better than any other brand available that it's really no contest. My only frustration with this product is that as of right now, in my area, it is only available to be purchased through Amazon. Not that purchasing things through Amazon is bad, rather it was just last summer that this item was available at either the Meijer stores or Kroger stores in my area! The ingredients listed on the can tells the tale. Ingredients: Albacore, water, salt. All of the other major brands have some type of vegetable broth and/or pyrophosphate added? Why? It's totally unnecessary and makes the tuna mushy in texture vs. the nice meaty chunks found in the Polar brand. Take it from Tuna Tates, this tuna is awesome!

This is the best tuna I have ever had. It's not salty tasting or wet and mushy. It's only available from amazon in my area. I hope they never stop carrying this product. The seller does an excellent job, packing and shipping. The price, including shipping, is about the same as what I paid in the store when it was available. The last 2 orders I have received no longer have the "flip-top" lid. No problem, just wanted to let people know. I don't know what this order will have.

I've been buying Polar tuna for 6 years now and am delighted with the quality. It truly is solid white tuna, no bones, skin or mysterious "black stuff" ever. It makes the national brands look like cat food by comparison.
